Songs For A New World online production to star Cedric Neal, Rachel John, Rachel Tucker & Ramin Karimloo

Cedric Neal, Rachel John, Rachel Tucker and Ramin Karimloo are to star in an online production of Songs For A New World.

Jason Robert Brown’s song cycle will be streamed nightly at 7:30PM between Thursday July 23 and Saturday July 25 with tickets on sale now here from The Other Palace.

Tickets are priced at £12.50 and went on general sale July 3.

A teaser for the show reads: “It’s about one moment. It’s about hitting the wall and having to make a choice… or take a stand… or turn around and go back. These are the stories and characters of today, the Songs for a New World.

“Starring Rachel John (Hamilton), Ramin Karimloo (Phantom of The Opera), Cedric Neal (Motown The Musical) and Rachel Tucker (Come From Away), this is the first musical from Tony Award winner, Jason Robert Brown (The Last Five Years, Parade, Bridges of Madison County). This moving collection of powerful songs examines life, love and the choices that we make.

“Songs For A New World transports audiences through time and space to meet a startling array of characters – every one of them so different, but all representing our world today and our hopes for a new world… a better world.”

The production has been filmed in isolation with direction from Séimí Campbell (My Son Pinocchio – Southwark Playhouse), music supervision by Adam Hoskins (Doctor Zhivago) and musical direction by Josh Winstone (The Last Five Years).

They and the cast will be joined by a group of live musicians for the stream.
