2019 Olivier Awards performances and presenters announced

The 2019 Olivier Awards has confirmed performers and presenters for this year’s ceremony.

The Laurence Olivier Awards in 2019 will take place on Sunday, April 7 with Jason Manford returning as host.


They will be broadcast on ITV later the same evening as well as on Magic Radio. Plus, the event will be streamed via Facebook, including the Red Carpet arrivals from 4PM.

Performances at the Olivier Awards 2019 will come from all the musicals nominated in the Mastercard Best New Musical and Magic Radio Best Musical Revival categories.

They are Caroline, Or Change; Come From Away; Company; Fun Home; The King And I; Six; and Tina – The Tina Turner Musical.

In addition, there will be a special performance from the cast of Disney’s The Lion King to celebrate its 20th year of running on the West End.

Meanwhile, West End star Beverley Knight will sing during the In Memoriam section, remembering those who have passed away across the past 12 months.

Presenters at the Olivier Awards will include Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, Jade Anouka, Zawe Ashton, Charlie Cox, Arthur Darvill, Danny Dyer, Paapa Essiedu, Gloria Estefan, Sally Field, Ncuti Gatwa, Kelsey Grammer, Ruthie Henshall, Tom Hiddleston, Judy Kuhn, Art Malik, Jack McBrayer, Wunmi Mosaku, Danielle de Niese, Andy Nyman, Wendell Pierce, Bill Pullman, Harriet Scott, Thea Sharrock and Ashley Shaw.

Joining them will be The Greatest Showman songwriters Pasek and Paul, Waitress’ Katharine McPhee, Strictly star Joanne Clifton and Kevin Clifton, plus Everybody’s Talking About Jamie’s Layton Williams and Shane Richie.

Also presenting will be Mamma Mia’s Donna and the Dynamos’ (Sara Poyzer, Ricky Butt and Kate Graham) as the hit musical celebrates its 20th anniversary.

The revival of Company and new musical Come From Away lead this year’s awards, both getting nine nominations each in various categories. The King And I received six nominations while Home, I’m Darling; The Lehman Trilogy; Six The Musical; and Summer And Smoke all received five nominations.
