Get Up, Stand Up – The Bob Marley Musical has delayed its West End premiere.
The new biopic musical will now begin performances at the Lyric Theatre on 1 October 2021, with opening night on 20 October 2021. Tickets are on sale now here.
The show was previously due to to premiere in May.
Penned by Lee Hall (Billy Eliott), the show is due to star Arinzé Kene (Misty) in the titular role. The show will feature some of Marley’s iconic songs, including “No Woman, No Cry”, “Exodus”, “3 Little Birds” and “Get Up Stand Up”.
Clint Dyer will direct the piece with choreography by Shelley Maxwell, musical supervision by Phil Bateman, set design by Chloe Lamford, lighting design by Charles Balfour, sound by Tony Gayle, costume by Lisa Duncan, video by Tal Yarden, casting by Pippa Ailion and musical direction by Sean Green.
