Hair outdoor concert to play Turbine Theatre this September – cast revealed!

An outdoor concert production of Hair is to play at the Turbine Theatre.

The show will run September 4 to 6 and will be directed by Arlene Phillips.

The cast features Millie O’Connell as Jeanie, Grace Mouat as Crissy, Jordan Luke Gage as Claude, Jodie Steele as Shiela, Matthew Croke as George Berger, Layton Williams as Hud, Danielle Fiamanya as Dionne and Blake Patrick Anderson as Woof.

Alongside Phillips, the creative team includes producer Paul Taylor-Mills, lightning designer Andrew Exeter, musical director Katy Richardson, designer David Shields and sound designer Dan Samson.

A teaser for the show shares: “The American tribal love rock musical Hair is back this summer, celebrating sixties counterculture in all its barefoot, long-haired, bell-bottomed, beaded and fringed glory.

“In this specially produced concert version directed by Arlene Phillips, get ready to groove to an infectiously energetic rock beat with songs like ‘Aquarius,’ ‘Good Morning, Starshine,’ ‘Hair,’ ‘I Got Life,’ and ‘Let The Sun Shine.’

“Exploring ideas of identity, community, global responsibility and peace, Hair remains relevant as ever as it examines what it means to be a young person in a changing world.”
