Cast announced for The Final Countdown outdoor concert at The Turbine Theatre

A cast of West End stars will appear in an 80s themed musical concert.

Produced by Paul Morrissey, The Final Countdown outdoor concert will play on September 8 at The Turbine Theatre.

Those on the cast will be Jodie Beth Meyer, Emma Hatton, Luke Walsh, Shekinah McFarlane and Andrew Patrick-Walker.

A teaser reads: “The Final Countdown is a spectacular Theatrical Rock and Pop show which brings the true sound and spirit of the 1980s to the stage. Featuring leading performers from the very best rock and pop musicals in the West End, The Final Countdown is a fresh and funky reimagining of the achingly expressive sound that emerged in the 80s.

‘With songs from Bon Jovi, Foreigner, Starship, and Europe and with hits such as Waiting for a Girl Like You, Livin’ on a Prayer, China in Your Hand and Total Eclipse of the Heart, The Final Countdown is a night of pure nostalgia for those that were there and an historic journey through one of the most dynamic decades of our time for those that weren’t.”

Tickets are available online now here.

The concert forms part of the Turbine Theatre’s new open air summer season.

Other productions include Catfish The Musical concert and a concert revival of Hair directed by Arlene Phillips.
