Everybody’s Talking About Jamie to reopen in West End from May – book tickets now!

Everybody’s Talking About Jamie will reopen in London’s West End in May, it’s been announced.

After performances were paused last March due to the lockdown, a reopening date has now been confirmed for 20 May, 2021. Tickets are on sale online here.

The new reopening date comes after the show originally hoped to restart performances last December.

The show is set to return to the Apollo Theatre following the latest Covid-secure health and safety guidelines.

The cast will include Noah Thomas in the title role, joined by Melissa Jacques (Margaret New), Shane Richie (Hugo / Loco Chanelle), Sejal Keshwala (Ray), Hiba Elchikhe (Pritti Pasha) and Gillian Ford (Miss Hedge).

Everybody’s Talking About Jamie tells the story of 16-year-old Jamie New, who is ixteen and lives on a council estate in Sheffield. Jamie doesn’t quite fit in. Jamie is terrified about the future. He is going to be a sensation.

Supported by his brilliant loving mum and surrounded by his friends, Jamie overcomes prejudice, beats the bullies and steps out of the darkness, into the spotlight.

Inspired by a true story, the musical has proven a huge hit with audiences ever since opening in 2017.

The musical features music by Dan Gillespie Sells and lyrics & book by Tom MacRae.

A film adaption is due for release in 2021, with newcomer Max Harwood cast as Jamie New.
