A staged concert production of A Christmas Carol musical will play London’s West End this Christmas.
A socially distanced production will run at the Dominion Theatre between Monday 7 December 2020 and Saturday 2 January 2021 with tickets on sale now.
Starring TV comedy legend and West End star Brian Conley (9 to 5, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Oliver!, Hairspray) as Scrooge, Dicken’s classic festive fable comes to life with a sparkling Broadway score, a symphonic 24 piece orchestra and an all-star West End cast.
Further casting includes Jacqueline Jossa as Emily/Ghost of Christmas Future, Matt Willis as Bob Cratchit, Lucie Jones as The Ghost of Christmas Past, Sandra Marvin as Mrs Fezziwig and Martyn Ellis as Mr Fezziwig.
Also on the cast are Cedric Neal as The Ghost of Christmas Present, Jeremy Secomb as Jacob Marley, Rebecca Lock as Mrs Cratchit and Sam Oladeinde as Fred Anderson/Young Scrooge.
They’re joined by Simbi Akande, Will Arundell, Nicole-Lily Baisden, Lizzie Bea, Joshua Gannon, James Gant, Shirley Jameson, Kurt Kansley, Alex Lodge, Matthew McDonald, Minal Patel, Jemma Revell, Rebecca Ridout and Lee Van Geleen.
Meanwhile role of Tiny Tim will be shared by William Barker, Osian Salter and Brodie Edwards, while the remaining children’s roles will be shared by Victoria Alsina, Delilah Bennett-Cardy, Asanda Abbie Masike, Charlie Mclellan, Nicholas Parris, Gabriel Payne, Angelica-Pearl Scott, Sasha Watson-Lobo and Katherine Wilson.
Written by the critically acclaimed team of Alan Menken (Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast), Lynn Ahrens (Anastasia, Ragtime) and Mike Ockrent (Me and My Girl, Crazy for You), the stage musical of A Christmas Carol first premiered in 1994 at New York’s Paramount Theatre.
Running for a decade at Madison Square Gardens, it was seen by over 5 million people, and now it makes its way to the iconic Dominion Theatre for a limited socially distanced season.
With sensational music from London Theatre Music Orchestra, soaring melodies, moving lyrics and the most famous of all Christmas stories, this is the 2020 event that will unite friends, families and loved ones with the magic of live entertainment.
Safety measures and social distancing will be in place front of house, on stage, backstage and throughout the Dominion Theatre. If you become unable to attend, unwell or are having to isolate, you will be able to exchange your tickets free of charge up to 24 hours before your performance.
