Watch Carrie Hope Fletcher sing new song from Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Cinderella

A new music video from Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Cinderella has been revealed featuring Carrie Hope Fletcher.

Carrie Hope Fletcher will star in the title role in the new retelling of the classic story, which is duet to premiere in the West End this summer.

In the build up to opening night a number of songs have been shared from the score including Bad Cinderella, also performed by Fletcher, and Only You, Lonely You performed by Ivano Turco as Prince Sebastian, brother to Prince Charming.

The latest song to be revealed is I Know I Have A Heart, which you can watch Carrie perform below…

The score of the new show has music by Lloyd Webber and lyrics by David Zippel with a book by Emerald Fennell.

Speaking about the newly released song, Lloyd Webber said: “I knew we needed a big power ballad moment for Cinderella and I am so excited for you to finally hear it. These things tend to come to you when you least expect them and I wrote this melody on a plane to LA.

“I sent it on to our lyricist and almost instantly David Zippel came back with the fantastic line, ‘I Know I Have a Heart Because You Broke it’. I Know I Have A Heart is Cinderella’s ‘unrequited love moment’ in the show but I won’t tell you more than that other than what a thrill it is to have a voice like Carrie’s record it.”

Alongside Fletcher and Turco, the only other confirmed casting we have at the moment is Victoria Hamilton-Barritt as the Stepmother.

Meanwhile, Laurence Connor will direct the production with choreography from JoAnn M Hunter.

An original cast recording is due for release in April – you can pre-order the album here on CD, download, Vinyl and signed CD.
