New musical You Are Here is to premiere at the Southwark Playhouse in May.
The piece, which will star Wendi Peters, is described as an “intimate, hilarious and heart-breaking tour-de-force musical that will leave you cheering for the resilience of the human spirit.”
The musical has Music & Lyrics by Neil Bartram and Book by Brian Hill with a synopsis sharing: “July 20, 1969. On the night of the moon landing, Chicago housewife Diana (Wendi Peters) walks out of her comfortable suburban life for no real reason. “Suddenly alone in a fast-changing world, she finds a series of unexpected encounters can turn one small step into a giant, life-changing leap. ”
Further casting includes Rebecca McKinnis, Phil Adéle and Jordan Frazier.
You Are Here will play at the Southwark Playhouse between 17 May and 12 June with either online or with in-person audiences depending on the rules in place at the time.
