The new Wicked cast for London’s West End production has been announced today.

Nikki Bentley and Helen Woolf will lead the 2019/2020 cast in the roles of Elphaba and Glinda respectively.

The pair both recently played the roles on the UK tour while Woolf also previously understudied the role of Glinda in the West End company.

Replacing Alice Fearn as Elphaba and Sophie Evans as Glinda, they join the previously announced Alistair Brammer who takeovers the role of Fiyero from David Witts.

The current cast will play their final performance on July 20 before the new cast begins on July 22.

The full Wicked London cast from July will include Kim Ismay as Madame Morrible, Idriss Kargbo as Boq (until 10 November) and Simeon Truby (Sweeney Todd) as Doctor Dillamond.

Andy Hockley continues as the Wizard with Carina Gillespie playing Nessarose (Natasha Ferguson will be maternity cover for Nessarose.)

Lisa-Anne Wood will takeover as the Glinda standby while Laura Pick continues as standby for Elphaba.

The full company is completed by Chanelle Anthony, Meg Astin, Rebecca Botterill, Michael Colbourne, Lewis Easter, Nolan Edwards, Kerry Enright, Chris George, Rebecca Gilliland, Lucie Horsfall, Nicole Lupino, Maggie Lynne, Stuart Maciver, Carl Man, Rhidian Marc, Joanna Sawyer, Scott Sutcliffe, Genevieve Taylor, Grant Thresh, James Titchener, Libby Watts, Bryony Whitfield, Chad Wilder, Dickie Wood, Chiarina Woodall and Tom Woollaston.

One of the world’s biggest musicals, Wicked has been running at the Apollo Victoria Theatre now for 13 years – and recently extended until May 2020.

The magical tale reveals the ‘true untold story’ behind the Wizard Of Oz and just what happened before Dorothy dropped in. Featuring some of musical theatre’s most iconic songs, such as Defying Gravity and Popular, Wicked will send your spirits soaring to heights you’ll never forget.
