Come From Away’s London West End production will reopen in July, it’s been announced.
Winner of Best New Musical at the Olivier Awards in 2019, Come From Away will resume performances on 22 July tickets are on sale now here.
The critically acclaimed and award winning play shares the touching real-life story of the 7,000 air passengers from all over the world who were grounded in Canada during the wake of the 9/11 terror attacks, and the small Newfoundland community that invited these ‘come from aways’ into their lives.
With a score and book written by Irene Sankoff and David Hein, Come From Away transferred from Broadway in 2019 and won four Olivier Awards from nine nominations.
Producers of Come From Away, John Brant and Joseph Smith, said of the reopening: “It’s been too long since we were able to welcome people to ‘The Rock’ and we’ve really missed our audiences. The resilience and kindness of Newfoundlanders is known the world over and constantly provides inspiration to us all in these challenging times.
“Theatre is integral to the vibrancy of the UK’s creative sector and we look forward to being part of welcoming people back to London’s West End. It’s now more than ever that we want to tell our story and give audiences the chance to see us live again.”
Playing at the Phoenix Theatre, Come From Away runs for an hour and 40 minutes with no interval. Tickets are currently available from just £20.
The show is currently booking through to 12 February 2022.
