Here’s all the latest on whether or not Beetlejuice the Musical is coming to London’s West End.

Adapted from the 1988 film of the same name, Beetlejuice the musical opened on Broadway in 2018 where it was nominated for eight Tony Awards.

The show became a huge hit with audiences before being forced to prematurely close in March 2020 amid the pandemic, then reopening in 2022.

Now fans want to know if Beetlejuice the Musical is on its to way the UK!

Is Beetlejuice the Musical coming to the West End?

While there have been plenty of rumours about Beetlejuice opening in London, as yet there’s been no official announcement.

There’s certainly a lot of fans begging for a transfer so watch this space.

What’s the musical all about?

Beetlejuice the musical features a score by Eddie Perfect with a book by Scott Brown and Anthony King, direction by Alex Timbers and scenic design by David Korins.

It tells the story of ‘bio-exorcist’ Betelgeuse (pronounced Beetlejuice) who attempts to help a recently deceased couple to haunt their former home.

The show follows Beetlejuice as he forms an unlikely friendship with the new homeowner’s daughter Lydia, a young girl struggling to cope with her mother’s death.

As well as original songs, the musical adaptation features classics Jump in the Line (Shake, Senora) and Day-O (The Banana Boat Song) which both appeared in the original film.

The original Broadway cast featured Alex Brightman in the tile role with Sophia Anne Carus, Rob McClure, Kerry Butler, Leslie Kritzer and Adam Dannheisser

There’s also a recently released demos album featuring cut songs from the musical.
