Drew Gasparini musical I Could Use A Drink is to run in the West End.
Those on the cast will be Ahmed Hamad, Billy Nevers, Caroline Kay, Luke Bayer, Maiya Quansah-Breed, Olivia Lallo, Tom Francis, Roxanne Couch and Callum Henderson.
Produced by Alex Conder & Liam Gartland for Gartland Productions Ltd, the piece is directed by Alex Conder with musical direction by Flynn Sturgeon. Lighting design is by Chloe Stally-Gibson and sound design is by Max Hunter with Stage Manager Freya Stern and Assistant Stage Manager Ed Paget.
Alongside MD Flynn Sturgeon, the band will feature Steph Frankland, Emily Roberts, Roland Palmer, Menelik Claffey, Hebe Raval and Alex Maxted.
A teaser for the show reads: “I Could Use A Drink is an eclectic mix of progressive contemporary Musical Theatre (both poignant and hilarious) written by Drew Gasparini and sung by the UK’s best and rising stars.
“With themes ranging from teenage pregnancy and heartbreak to mass shootings due to bullying, Gasparini’s 17 songs are wonderfully blended together to celebrate the beauty and chaos of youth.”
Gasparini said: “I recorded this album about nine years ago and some of these songs were written almost 15 years ago.
“It’s a thrill and an honour that these songs continue to get new life, and I’m thankful to Gartland Productions for having this vision and making this show my West End debut!”
