West End stars unite for India COVID relief with special music video

Same Voices Unite

West End stars have come together to raise awareness and money for India Covid Relief.

Talent from shows including Bend it Like Beckham, Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, & Juliet, Aladdin and Prince of Egypt have recorded ‘It Means Beautiful’ from West End musical musical Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, written by Dan Gillespie Sells and Tom Macrae.

The project is titled ‘Same Voices Unite’ and was put together by actor Irvine Iqbal.

Iqbal said: “The situation in India is at breaking point with Covid infection rates now passing 20 million people; we have a duty as a community to raise awareness about this issue now”.

Musical director Dan De Cruz. said “We are grateful to the producers and writers at Everybody’s Talking About Jamie who have allowed us to use their song for such a worthy cause”

A cast of over 30 performers of South Asian and Middle Eastern heritage will appear in the video.

They include Nadia Nadarajah, Karl Seth, Nuwan Hugh Perera, Olivia Wylie, Irfan Damani, Kush Khanna, Tony Jayawardena, Liam Tamne, Soophia Foroughi, Kayleigh Thadani, Sejal Keshwala, Sabrina Sandhu, Hiba Elchikhe, Nadim Naaman, Rakesh Boury, Tanveer Singh Devgun, Rekha, Sharan Phull, Zara Naeem, Arun Blair-Mangat, Tim Mahendran, Jassa Ahluwalia, Shahid Abbas Khan, Shiv Rabheru, Joe Thompson-Oubari, Raj Ghatak, Nikita Johal. Sharif Afifi, Anoushka Chadha, Faye Weerasinghe, Hannah Qureshi and Harveen Mann.

They’re joined musicians Andy Findon, Teymour Housego, Daniel Lloyd, Neel Gadhvi, Anita Datta and ​​​Dan de Cruz.

Further creatives include assistant musical director Anita Datta, video and recording by Keval Tanna from Cardboard Creative, music production by Fred Johanson with stage manager Sunita Hinduja and director Irvine Iqbal.
