Singin’ In The Rain cast at Sadler’s Wells to star Kevin Clifton and Faye Tozer

Singin’ In The Rain has announced the full cast for its upcoming run at London’s Sadler’s Wells.

Chichester Festival Theatre’s Olivier Award-nominated production of the hit musical will run July 30 through to September 5 2021 with tickets on sale online here.

The show had originally been due to run in 2020 before the pandemic forced a postponement.

Adam Cooper will reprise his role as Don Lockwood, having performed in the original Chichester Festival Theatre run in 2011 before moving with the show to the West End in 2012.

Also on the cast are Strictly’s Kevin Clifton (Rock of Ages, Burn the Floor) as Cosmo Brown and Steps’ Faye Tozer (Everybody’s Talking About Jamie) as Lina Lamont.

They’re joined by Charlotte Gooch as Kathy Seldon and Cavin Cornwall as RF Simpson, Sandra Dickinson as Dora Bailey, Michael Matus as Roscoe Dexter and Imogen Brook as Zelda Zanders.

Completing the company are Briana Craig, Alistair Crosswell, Lavinia Fitzpatrick, Alex Given, Ryan Gover, Ashleigh Graham, Harriet Samuel-Gray, Molly Rees Howe, Thomas Inge, Robin Kent, Sam Lips, Joshua Lovell, George Lyons, Heather Scott Martin, Amonik Melaco, Ashleigh Morris, Peter Nash, Megan Spiers and Ellie May Wilson.

Adapted from the hit 1950s movie of the same name, Singin’ In The Rain is set in Hollywood as silent movies make way for new talking pictures.

Featuring music and lyrics by Nacio Herb Brown and Arthur Freed and a book adapted by the film’s original screenwriters, the musical follows silent movie stars Don Lockwood and Lina Lamont, Don’s best friend Cosmo Brown and aspiring actress Kathy Selden.

The postponed London run will reunite the original Chichester production team, with direction from Jonathan Church, Olivier Award-nominated choreography from Andrew Wright, design by Simon Higlett and lighting by Tim Mitchell.

A Singin’ in the Rain 2022 UK tour will begin performances in March 2022, with a cast to be confirmed.
