Heathers West End 2021 cast revealed as musical returns to London

The new West End cast of Heathers the musical in the West End has been announced!

The hit show will be back at London’s Theatre Royal Haymarket this summer for a limited run between 21 June and 13 September with tickets on sale now here.

Heathers the Musical is based on the cult 1980s film of the same name which starred Winona Ryder and Christian Slater.

With music and lyrics by Laurence O’Keefe and Kevin Murphy, the musical adaption has had productions across the world and previously played at the Theatre Royal Haymarket in 2018.

Leading the cast for the new run will be Christina Bennington as Veronica Sawyer and Jordan Luke Gage as JD.

The Heathers will be played by Jodie Steele (Heather Chandler), Bobbie Little (Heather Duke) and Frances Mayli McCann (Heather McNamara).

Also the cast are Lauren Ward (Miss Fleming/Veronica’s Mother), Madison Swan (Martha), Simon Bailey (Ram’s Dad/Big Bud Dean/Coach), Joaquin Pedro Valdes (Ram Sweeney) and Steven Serlin (Kurt’s Dad/Veronica’s Dad/Principle Gowan).

Completing the cast are Ross Harmon, Aimee Hodnett, Christopher Parkinson, Giles Surridge, Iván Fernández González, Rachel Rawlinson, Rumi Sutton and Teleri Hughes.

Alongside the new run in London, a first ever Heathers the musical tour is to open at the Leeds Grand Theatre in July.

The show will travel across the UK with confirmed dates in Liverpool, Nottingham, Newcastle, Sheffield, Birmingham, Canterbury, Bristol, Belfast, Dublin, Manchester, Milton Keynes, High Wycombe, Cardiff and Edinburgh.

The show tells the story of high school student Veronica Sawyer who, longing for popularity, finds herself drawn to three beautiful and impossibly cruel Heathers. The plot takes a dark twist when the mysterious JD turns up, teaching Veronica that it might kill to be a nobody, but it’s murder being a somebody.
