The newly updated musical will run for 14 work-in-progress performances between 23 July and 7 August.

Singin’ in the Rain meets Strangers on a Train, Noel Coward meets Noel Fielding, Operation Mincemeat is the fast-paced, hilarious and unbelievable true story of the twisted secret mission that won us World War II. The question is, how did a well-dressed corpse wrong-foot Hitler?

Tickets will go on general sale from the Southwark Playhouse website here from 11AM on Thursday, 10 June. Existing ticket holders have until then to rebook.

Operation Mincemeat is written by SpitLip members David Cumming, Felix Hagan, Natasha Hodgson and Zoe Roberts with direction from Donnacadh O’Briain and choreography by Jenny Arnold.

Set & costume design comes from Helen Coyston, lighting by Sherry Coenen and Clancy Flynn, additional casting by Pearson Casting, publicity artwork by Bob King Creative, production management by Harry Symes and stage-management by Roisin Symes.

The cast will feature David Cumming, Claire-Marie Hall, Natasha Hodgson, Jak Malone and Zoe Roberts.

Felix Hagan leads the band as musical director and keys with Ellen O’Reilly (Bass & Synth Bass) and Lewis Jenkins (Drums & Percussion).
