The Drifters Girl West End cast revealed as show opens in London

Casting has been confirmed for The Drifters Girl in London’s West End.

The musical is based on the iconic music of American vocal group The Drifters.

The Drifters Girl premiered at the Newcastle Theatre Royal in October before opening at the Garrick Theatre on November 4. Tickets For the West End run are on sale here.

Beverley Knight will lead the cast as Faye Treadwell, manager of The Drifters who, together with her husband George Treadwell, turned the group into a global phenomenon.

Joining her will be Tosh Wanogho-Maud (Ben E King), Tarinn Callender (Johnny Moore), Adam J Bernard (George Treadwell) and Matt Henry (Clyde McPhatter).

Completing the company are Marcus Ayton, Ethan Davis, Vanessa Ela Young, Michael James Stewart, Alanna Leslie, Curtis Scott, Dara Ajagbe, Amari Brown, Arabel Harley and Savanna Musoni.

The production include hit songs from The Drifters’ back catalogue such as Save the Last Dance for Me, Under the Boardwalk, Kissin’ in the Back Row of the Movies, Stand by Me, Come on Over to My Place and Saturday Night at the Movies.

The show runs at the Garrick Theatre in London from November 4 for a limited 20-week run to 26 March 2022.

The creative team will be led by director Jonathan Church with a book by Ed Curtis and design by Anthony Ward.

The show will feature choreography by Karen Bruce, lighting design by Ben Cracknell, sound design by Tom Marshall, video design by Andrzej Goulding, costume design by Fay Fullerton and music supervision and orchestrations by Chris Egan and musical director and arrangements by Will Stuart.
