Julie Madly Deeply brings the sound of music to Park Theatre this December

Cabaret hit Julie Madly Deeply is to run at London’s Park Theatre this December.

Adored by millions, Dame Julie Andrews is a genuine showbiz icon.

This charming yet cheeky cabaret takes an engaging look at fame and fandom, through the eyes and voice of award-winning performer Sarah-Louise Young (Fascinating Aida, An Evening Without Kate Bush, La Soirée, and over a decade with Olivier Award winning improvised musical The Showstoppers!).

Julie Andrews’s much-loved songs from musicals including Mary Poppins, The Sound Of Music and My Fair Lady are intertwined with stories and anecdotes about her own life, from her beginnings as a child star to the more recent challenges of losing her famous singing voice. What emerges is a delightfully funny and candid love letter to a true show business survivor.

Sarah-Louise Young is joined at the piano by long-term collaborator, Michael Roulston. Together they have appeared previously in their sell-out shows Songs For Cynics, Songs For Lovers (And Other Idiots), Je Regrette! and Two Faced.

Russell Lucas directs.

Sarah-Louise also stars alongside top UK improv talent from Olivier Award-winning productions such as Showstopper! The Improvised Musical, Austentatious and Mischief Theatre in Yes Queens, running at the venue on 23 and 30 December.

Interactive theatre at its best, the show sees the audience playing a key role in a night of games, scenes, sketches and songs – all improvised from their suggestions.

Tickets for both shows are available from www.parktheatre.co.uk with a £10 discount when booking the two shows together.
