Operation Mincemeat is to return to London’s Southwark Playhouse next year.
After previous runs at the New Diorama Theatre in 2019 and Southwark Playhouse in 2020, creators SpitLip spent lockdown rewriting the show.
Following a a run of 14 work-in-progress performances between 23 July and 7 August this summer, the show has announced plans to return for a six-week run in 2022.
The piece will run from 14 January to 19 February 2022 with tickets on sale now via southwarkplayhouse.co.uk
Singin’ in the Rain meets Strangers on a Train, Noel Coward meets Noel Fielding, Operation Mincemeat is the fast-paced, hilarious and unbelievable true story of the twisted secret mission that won us World War II. The question is, how did a well-dressed corpse wrong-foot Hitler?
Operation Mincemeat is written by SpitLip members David Cumming, Felix Hagan, Natasha Hodgson and Zoe Roberts with direction from Donnacadh O’Briain and choreography by Jenny Arnold.
Set & costume design comes from Helen Coyston, lighting by Sherry Coenen and Clancy Flynn, additional casting by Pearson Casting, publicity artwork by Bob King Creative, production management by Harry Symes and stage-management by Roisin Symes.
