Get Up Stand Up! The Bob Marley Musical tickets are on sale now for the show in London’s West End in 2021.
The new biopic musical will begin performances at Lyric Theatre on 1 October 2021 with tickets on sale now.
The Bob Marley Musical will play at London’s Lyric Theatre from 1 October 2021 currently booking through to 3 April 2022.
The standard performance schedule is 7:30PM shows Tuesday-Saturday and 7PM on Sunday with 2:30PM matinees on Saturday and Sunday.
Penned by Lee Hall (Billy Eliott), the show will feature some of Marley’s iconic songs, including “No Woman, No Cry”, “Exodus”, “3 Little Birds” and “Get Up Stand Up”.
Arinzé Kene will star in the titular role of Bob Marley.
He’ll be joined by Gabrielle Brooks as Rita Marley, Shanay Holmes as Cindy Breakspeare, Sophia Mackay as Judy Mowatt, Melissa Brown-Taylor as Marcia Griffiths, Jacade Simpson as Bunny Wailer and Natey Jones as Peter Tosh.
Clint Dyer will direct the piece with choreography by Shelley Maxwell, musical supervision by Phil Bateman, orchestration by Simon Hale set design by Chloe Lamford, lighting design by Charles Balfour, sound by Tony Gayle, sound effect by Ben Grant, costume by Lisa Duncan, wigs, hair and make-up by Campbell Young, video by Tal Yarden, casting by Pippa Ailion and musical direction by Sean Green.
Bob Marley’s daughter Cedella Marley said of the musical: “Our father’s music has for so long been an inspiration to so many people. We are proud that audiences will be able to sit in his company for a little while and, we hope, feel better about themselves, and the world.
“The wonderful team bringing this story to the stage will create a special evening in honour of our father.”
