A studio recording of Katharine McPhee singing Waitress ballad She Used To Be Mine has been released.

McPhee played the lead role of Jenna in the musical on Broadway and recently originated the role in London’s West End.

To coincide with the end of McPhee’s run – playing her final performance on Saturday, June 15 – a special recording of the musical’s big showstopping number has been released to download and stream.

She Used To Be Mine forms part of the original Tony and Grammy nominated Waitress score by Sara Bareilles.

Together with a book by Jessie Nelson and direction by Paulus, Waitress features a ground-breaking, all-female lead creative team.

It tells the story of Jenna a waitress and expert pie-maker who dreams of a way out of her small town and rocky marriage.
