Singin’ In The Rain will open at London’s Sadler’s Wells in summer 2020.
Chichester Festival Theatre’s Olivier Award-nominated production of the hit musical will play a limited five-week season from Friday 24 July 2020.
Tickets will go on sale from Monday 8 July 2019.
Adapted from the hit 1950s movie, Singin’ In The Rain is set in Hollywood as silent movies make way for new talking pictures.
It follows silent movie stars Don Lockwood and Lina Lamont, Don’s best friend Cosmo Brown and aspiring actress Kathy Selden.
Adam Cooper will reprise his role as Don Lockwood, having performed in the original Chichester Festival Theatre run in 2011 before moving with the show to the West End in 2012.
Further names for the 2020 London cast will be announced in due course.
Singin’ in the Rain features music and lyrics by Nacio Herb Brown and Arthur Freed, including Make ‘em Laugh, Good Morning, and Singin’ in the Rain.
The book is adapted by the film’s original screenwriters, Betty Comden and Adolph Green.
The 2020 London run will reunite the original Chichester production team, with direction from Jonathan Church, Olivier Award-nominated choreography from Andrew Wright, design by Simon Higlett and lighting by Tim Mitchell.
