Heathers cast announced for new run at London’s The Other Palace

Casting has been announced for Heathers the Musical’s new run at London’s The Other Palace this festive period.

The show will reopen the venue, which was recently bought by Bill Kenwright from Andrew Lloyd Webber.

Andy Fickman directs the production which will open on 25 November 2021 and run to 20 February 2022.

Leading the cast will be Ailsa Davidson as Veronica Sawyer and Freddie King as JD.

They’ll be joined by Emma Kingston as Heather Chandler, Inez Budd as Heather Duke and Teleri Hughes as Heather McNamara with Vicki Lee Taylor as Ms Fleming / Veronica’s Mom, Lizzie Bea as Martha Dunnstock, George Maddison as Kurt Kelly, Tom Scanlon as Ram Sweeney and Kieran Brown as Ram’s Dad / Coach Ripper.

Completing the company are are Iván Fernández González (Preppy Stud), Jacob Fowler (Beleaguered Geek), Jordan Cunningham (Hipster Dork), Eliza Waters (Young Republicanette), Mary-Jean Caldwell (Stoner Chick), Hannah Lowther (New Wave Party Girl) and Kayleigh McKnight (Drama Club Drama Queen).

Choreography comes from Gary Lloyd, design by David Shields, lighting by Ben Cracknell and sound by Dan Samson.

With music and lyrics by Laurence O’Keefe and Kevin Murphy, Heathers is based on the 1989 film of the same name.

It follows the story of high school student Veronica Sawyer who learns that it might kill to be a nobody, but it’s murder being a somebody.

Longing for popularity, she finds herself taken under the wings of three beautiful and impossibly cruel Heathers but the plot takes a dark twist when the mysterious JD turns up/

Heathers is currently on a national UK tour having also recently played the West End.
