Pretty Woman West End run theatre, dates and venue confirmed

Pretty Woman: The Musical will open in London’s West End in February 2020.

The stage adaption of the iconic film will transfer from Broadway next year with tickets on sale now.

Pretty Woman: The Musical will play at the Piccadilly Theatre for a limited season from Valentine’s Day – 14 February 2020 – through to 2 January 2021.

Pretty Woman tells the story of the unlikely relationship between wealthy businessman Edward Lewis who hires down-on-her-luck Hollywood prostitute Vivian Ward as an escort while on a business trip to LA.

The musical adaption features music and lyrics by Bryan Adams and Jim Vallance with a book from Garry Marshall and JF Lawton, who wrote the original film screenplay.

Direction and choreography comes from Jerry Mitchell (Kinky Boots, Legally Blonde) while the current Broadway cast recently featured British actress Samantha Barks as Vivian Ward together with Andy Karl as Edward Lewis.

Casting for the new West End production will be announced in due course.
