Dirty Dancing 2022 cast revealed for new West End run

Casting has been announced for Dirty Dancing as it returns to London’s West End in 2022.

Based on the iconic film of the same name, Dirty Dancing – The Classic Story is running at the Dominion Theatre for a limited season to 16 April 2022 with tickets on sale now.

The hit show, which was recently on a UK tour, tells the iconic story of Baby and Johnny, featuring the hit songs Hungry Eyes, Hey! Baby, Do You Love Me? and the heart stopping (I’ve Had) The Time Of My Life.

Dirty Dancing West End cast

The cast will be led by Michael O’Reilly (West Side Story, Matthew Bourne’s Lord of the Flies) and Kira Malou (Fame, Penny on Mars), who return to the roles of Johnny and Baby from the tour.

Also reprising their roles from the touring cast are Carlie Milner as Penny (Sleeping Beauty), Lyndon Edwards (A Little Night Music) as Dr Jake Houseman, Lizzie Ottley (Evita) as Lisa Houseman, Colin Charles (We Will Rock You, Joseph) as Tito Suarez and Lori Hayley Fox (Hairspray, Big) as Mrs Houseman.

The full company includes Samuel Bailey, Michael Remick, Thomas Sutcliffe, Mark Faith, Mimi Rodrigues Alves, Danielle Cato, Danielle Lockwood, Marie Finlayson, Sasha Woodward, Sophia McAvoy, James McHugh, Benjamin Harrold, Rishard-Kyro Nelson, Niko Wirachman, Charlotte Olliffe, Patricia Wilkins , Austin Wilks, Lee Nicholson, Oliver Adam-Reynolds, Miles Russell, Tom Parsons, James William-Pattison, Simon Williams and Christopher Fry.

Featuring the original 1987 script by Eleanor Bergstein and directed by Federico Bellone, the creative team is made up of lighting designer Valerio Tiberi, sound designer Armando Vertullo, supervising musical director Richard John, choreographer Austin Wilks and costume designer Jennifer Irwin.
