First look: Steve starring Jenna Russell and David Ames at Seven Dials Playhouse

A first look at the upcoming European premiere of Steve has been revealed!

The show has launched Seven Dials Playhouse in London, running to 19 March.

Leading the cast are Olivier award-winning and Tony award-nominated Jenna Russell (Piaf, Guys and Dolls, Sunday In The Park With George) and Holby City’s David Ames (The Killing Moon, The Temperamentals, Moonfleece).

Mark Gerrard’s cutting comedy that was heralded as The New York Times’ Critic’s Pick when it ran in New York in 2015.

Also in the cast are Joe Aaron Reid (Dreamgirls, In the Heights), Michael Walters (The Inheritance, Death of a Salesman, The Sandman), Giles Cooper (Toast, Henry V, The Knight of the Burning Pestle, The Duchess of Malfi) and Nico Conde (Westworld, El Inocente).

Directed by Andrew Keates, Steve illuminates LGBTQ+ relationships, both romantic and platonic. The play navigates the highs and lows of getting older, long-term friendship, monogamy, saying goodbye and being alive.
