My Fair Lady cast revealed for West End revival in 2022

Full casting has been revealed for the upcoming My Fair Lady revival in London’s West End.

The classic musical will begin performances at London Coliseum on 7 May 2022 with tickets on sale now.

Directed by Bartlett Sher, the Lincoln Center Theater production previously ran on Broadway in 2018 where it picked up ten Tony Award nominations.

My Fair Lady West End cast

Amara Okereke will star as Eliza Doolittle. Okereke was recently seen in the Almeida’s acclaimed production of Spring Awakening and she won the Stage Debut Award for her performance as Cosette in Les Miserables.

She will be joined by Harry Hadden-Paton who reprises his performance as Henry Higgins which he originated at the Lincoln Center in New York and for which he received Tony and Grammy award nominations.

Stage legend Dame Vanessa Redgrave (The Inheritance) will play Mrs Higgins while BAFTA award-winning comedian Stephen K Amos will play the role of Alfred P. Doolittle.

Joining them will be Maureen Beattie who will play Mrs Pearce and Sharif Afifi who will play Freddie Eynesford-Hill.

The full company is completed with Dammi Aregbeshola, Bernadette Bangura, Joseph Claus, Jordan Crouch, Jamie Cruttenden, Francessca Daniella-Baker, Barry Drummond, Bethany Huckle, Heather Jackson, Emma Johnson, Charlotte Kennedy, Sinead Kenny, Jenny Legg, Tom Liggins, Rebekah Lowings, Carl Patrick, Tom Ping, Dominique Planter, Joseph Poulton, John Stacey, Joshua Steel, Oliver Tester, Adam Vaughan, Annie Wensak and Paul Westwood.

The production has set design by Michael Yeargan, costume design by Catherine Zuber, lighting design by Donald Holder, sound design by Marc Salzberg, original musical arrangements by Robert Russell Bennett and Phil Lang and dance arrangements by Trude Rittmann.

My Fair Lady tells the story of Eliza Doolittle, a young Cockney flower seller, and Henry Higgins, a linguistics professor who is determined to transform her into his idea of a “proper lady”. But who is really being transformed?

With a book and lyrics by Alan Jay Lerner and music by Frederick Loewe, My Fair Lady boasts a score including the classic songs I Could Have Danced All Night, Get Me to the Church on Time, Wouldn’t It Be Loverly, On the Street Where You Live, The Rain in Spain and I’ve Grown Accustomed to Her Face.
