& Juliet announces new 2022 casting for West End

New casting for & Juliet in London’s West End has been announced.

The hit musical is currently booking to September 2022 to Shaftesbury Theatre with a new cast beginning performances from 29 March.


As previously announced, Broadway actress and star of The Greatest Showman Keala Settle will join the company as Nurse, taking over the role from Melanie La Barrie

Meanwhile Tom Francis (Rent, What’s New Pussycat?) will take on the role of Romeo from Jordan Luke Gage and Julius D’Silva (Made In Dagenham) will play Lance, currently played by David Bedella.

The new ensemble will feature Ebony Clarke, Bessy Ewa, Collette Guitart, Cassandra Lee, Nathan Louis-Fernand, Zara Macintosh, Carl Man, Christian Maynard, Rachel Moran, Owen Saward, Aaron Shales, Benjamin Terry and Suki Wong.

They join continuing cast members Miriam-Teak Lee (Juliet), Cassidy Janson (Anne Hathaway), Oliver Tompsett (William Shakespeare), Tim Mahendran (Francois), Alex Thomas-Smith (May), Ivan De Freitas, Rhian Duncan, Alex Tranter, Sophie Usher and Rhys Wilkinson.

The current cast will play their final performances on 26 March.

& Juliet is the jukebox musical that retells the classic Shakespeare tragedy of Romeo and Juliet by asking: what if Juliet’s fateful ending was in fact just her beginning?

The show features a collection of iconic songs written by Max Martin including Break Free (Ariana Grande), …Baby One More Time (Britney Spears), Teenage Dream (Katy Perry) Everybody (Backstreet Boys), Can’t Feel My Face (The Weeknd) and It’s My Life (Bon Jovi).
