Hit TV series Call My Agent set to be turned into a West End musical

The hit TV series Call My Agent! is set to become a musical.

Following a group of agents at a talent agency as they go about their lives and work, the original French series (Dix Pour Cent) premiered in 2015 and became a worldwide hit after streaming on Netflix.

With a British adaptation due for release later in 2022, now a musical version has been revealed to be in the works.

Details on creatives and cast are to be announced but the show is aiming for a West End bow in late 2024. Inspired by the TV series, there are plans for the musical to include a guest star in the production each week.

Producers Adam Kenwright and David Livingstone will bring the series to the stage.

Adam Kenwright of Kindred Partners said: “We are so excited about bringing Call My Agent! to life in a new West End musical.

“We believe we can produce a brand-new musical that can deliver wit, comedy and high drama with the romance of Paris.”

David Livingstone of Calamity Films added: “We are thrilled to be creating this brand-new musical production of Call My Agent!.

“The show has got to feel like it’s transformed into something different, highlighting issues of empowerment, the troubles that stardom can bring, and ensure the agents are at the heart of the story throughout.”

Producer of the original TV series, Michel Feller of Mon Voisin Productions commented: “The TV show has been so successful across the globe that Kindred Partners and Calamity Films need to be totally free to make the best show they can. We have a very good mix between comedy and emotions. It’s a family, in a crazy little company.”

Call My Agent! is streaming now on Netflix in the UK.
