Les Misérables concert cast revealed for all star West End production

Les Misérables 2019 London concert cast in full

The full cast for the new Les Misérables concert in London’s West End has been confirmed.

Les Misérables has been playing for 34 years in the West End but will take a short break this summer as its current home – the Queen’s Theatre – is being refurbished.

The original London production of Les Mis played its final performance on 13 July 2019 with a new production beginning performances December 2019 at the restored venue, which will be renamed the Sondheim theatre.

In the meantime, the musical will host a special staged concert version at the Gielgud Theatre.

The 2019 Les Mis concert in London is based on the legendary 10th anniversary concert at The Royal Albert Hall and the O2 Arena’s 25th anniversary concert.

Les Misérables 2019 concert cast

The 2019 Les Misérables concert comprises of an All Star cast joined by an orchestra of more than 65 musicians.

It will be led by Michael Ball playing Javert and Alfie Boe as his nemesis Jean Valjean, on selected dates. Ball previously played Marius in the original London cast while Boe has played Valjean in the West End, on Broadway and at the 25th Anniversary concert. For three performances a week, the role of Jean Valjean will be played by John Owen-Jones.

Also reprising his role from the West End and 25th Anniversary concert is Matt Lucas portraying Thénardier while Carrie Hope Fletcher will play Fantine, having previously played Éponine in the West End production.

They will be joined by Katy Secombe as Madame Thénardier, Bradley Jaden in the role of Enjolras and Rob Houchen will play Marius.

Shan Ako will star as Eponine and Lily Kerhoas will play the role of Cosette.

The ensemble will feature Rosanna Bates, Adam Bayjou, Ciarán Bowling, Simon Bowman, Oliver Brenin, Earl Carpenter, Vinny Coyle, Samantha Dorsey, Tamsin Dowsett, Nicola Espallardo, Celia Graham, Barnaby Hughes, Holly-Anne Hull, Oliver Jackson, Christopher Jacobsen, Gavin James, Will Jennings and Ciaran Joyce.

Joining them are Katie Kerr, Sarah Lark, Joanna Loxton, Craig Mather, Stephen Matthews, James Nicholson, Rosa O’Reilly, Claire Parrish, Sophie Reeves, Grainne Renihan, Leo Roberts, Raymond Walsh, Gemma Wardle and Andrew York.

The Les Mis London concert is booking a strictly limited run from 12 August 2019 to 25 November 2019.

Tickets are on sale now but be warned – only a handful of seats are currently available on a few performances.
