Waitress London: Ashley Roberts to play final performance as Laura Baldwin returns

Ashley Roberts will play her final performance in the London cast of Waitress on August 10.

Pussycat Doll singer and recent Strictly Come Dancing contestant Roberts is currently appearing in the role of Dawn.

She’ll take her final bow on Saturday, August 10, it’s been announced.

Laura Baldwin, who originated the role in the West End, will return to the company from Monday, August 12.

She’ll join the current cast which includes Lucie Jones in the lead role as Jenna with Blake Harrison as Ogie, Marisha Wallace as Becky, Peter Hannah as Earl, David Hunter as Dr. Pomatter and Shaun Prendergast as Old Joe.

With a Tony and Grammy nominated score by Sara Bareilles, a book by Jessie Nelson and direction by Paulus, Waitress features a ground-breaking, all-female lead creative team.

It tells the story of Jenna a waitress and expert pie-maker who dreams of a way out of her small town and rocky marriage.

Originally opening in February, the musical has extended its booking period until January 4, 2020 with new tickets now on sale.

Playing at the Adelphi Theatre, the current performance schedule is Monday to Saturday at 7:30pm with Wednesday & Saturday matinees at 2:30pm.
