Heathers The Musical cast revealed for filmed version

Casting has been confirmed for the upcoming filmed version of Heathers The Musical in London.

Based on the cult 1980s film of the same name, Heathers The Musical is currently running at The Other Palace.

It was previously announced that Bill Kenwright & Paul Taylor-Mills will team up with Steam Motion and Sound to release a filmed performance of the show, with casting now confirmed!

The cast of the proshot will be led by Ailsa Davidson (Veronica Sawyer), Simon Gordon (Jason ‘J.D’ Dean), Maddison Firth (Heather Chandler), Vivian Panka (Heather Duke) and Teleri Hughes (Heather McNamara).

They’ll be joined by Vicki Lee Taylor (Ms. Fleming/Veronica’s Mom), Mhairi Angus (Martha Dunnstock), Liam Doyle (Kurt Kelly), Rory Phelan (Ram Sweeney), Oliver Brooks (Kurt’s Dad/Big Bud Dean/Coach Ripper), Andy Brady (Ram’s Dad/Principle Gowan/Veronica’s Dad), Benjamin Karran (Beleaguered Geek), Chris Parkinson (Hipster Dork/Officer McCord), Jermaine Woods (Peppy Stud/Officer Milner), Eleanor Morrison Halliday (Young Republicanette), Mary-Jean Caldwell (Stoner Chick), Hannah Lowther (New Wave Party Girl) and May Tether (Drama Club Drama Queen)

The musical will be recorded across two live performances with a release date to be announced.

With book, music and lyrics by Kevin Murphy and Laurence O’Keefe, Heathers the Musical first debuted in 2010.

The London production is directed by Andy Fickman with choreography by Thriller Live’s Gary Lloyd, designs by David Shields, lighting by Ben Cracknell, sound by Dan Samson and musical direction by Phil Cornwell

In-person performances of Heathers will resume at The Other Palace on 20 May with the show currently booking through to September 2022.

It’s the latest musical set to be released on film with recorded versions of the recent Bonnie and Clyde concert and The Prince of Egypt in the West End also coming soon.
