Andrew Boyer to replace Shaun Prendergast in Waitress London cast

Andrew Boyer will join the cast of Waitress in London’s West End.

He will replace Shaun Prendergast in the company in the role of Old Joe.

Boyer’s credits include Of Mice and Men, Law and Order, Gypsy and Music Man.

He’ll play his first performance on August 12.

Boyer will join the cast together with Laura Baldwin, who returns to the role of Dawn currently played by Ashley Roberts.

Roberts and Prendergast are scheduled to play their final performances on August 10.

The rest of the current Waitress cast features Lucie Jones in the lead role as Jenna with Blake Harrison as Ogie, Marisha Wallace as Becky, Peter Hannah as Earl and David Hunter as Dr. Pomatter.

With a Tony and Grammy nominated score by Sara Bareilles, a book by Jessie Nelson and direction by Paulus, Waitress features a ground-breaking, all-female lead creative team.

It tells the story of Jenna a waitress and expert pie-maker who dreams of a way out of her small town and rocky marriage.

Originally opening in February, the musical has extended its booking period until January 4, 2020 with new tickets now on sale.
