The standard performance schedule is 7:30PM Monday-Saturdays with 2:30PM matinees on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
Moulin Rouge The Musical is based on the 2001 film Moulin Rouge! directed by Baz Luhrmann and written by Luhrmann and Craig Pearce. It tells the story of Christian who falls in love with actress and courtesan Satine, star of Paris cabaret venue Moulin Rouge.
After originally being due to open in Spring 2021, Moulin Rouge! The Musical opened at London’s Piccadilly Theatre from 12 November 2021. The show is currently booking to December 2023.
Leading the current Moulin Rouge! The Musical cast in London are Tanisha Spring as Satine and Dom Simpson as Christian.
Joining them are Ivan De Freitas as Santiago, Charlotte Gooch as Nini, Anthony Cragg as Baby Doll, Bernadette Bangura as La Chocolat, Matt Rixon as Harold Zidler, Ian Carlyle as Toulouse-Lautrec, Ben Richards as The Duke, Hannah Jay-Allan as Arabia and Rochelle Sherona as Arabia.
At certain performances, Angela Marie Hurst will play the role of Satine.
The production is directed by Alex Timbers with choreography by Sonya Tayeh and music supervision, orchestrations and arrangements by Justin Levine.
