Watch Moulin Rouge! The Musical perform on Britain’s Got Talent

The cast of Moulin Rouge! The Musical performed on the Britain’s Got Talent live shows this evening.

The company of the West End production took to the stage twice live on ITV on Monday night.

They first opened the show with a performance of Welcome to the Moulin Rouge, featuring songs such as Lady Marmalade.

The cast then returned at the end of the show to perform Act 2’s big opening dance number Backstage Romance which includes songs such as Lady Gaga’s Bad Romance, Britney Spears’ Toxic and the White Stripes’ Seven Nation Army.

It comes as the show announces it has extended its booking period into 2023.

Based on the 2001 film of the same name, the hit show opened at the Piccadilly Theatre in November 2021.

The musical is now booking through to January 2023.

Moulin Rouge The Musical follows Christian who falls in love with actress and courtesan Satine, star of Paris cabaret venue Moulin Rouge.

The cast features Liisi LaFontaine as Satine with Jamie Bogyo as Christian.

They’re joined by Elia Lo Tauro as Santiago, Sophie Carmen Jones as Nini, Simon Bailey as the Duke, Jason Pennycooke as Toulouse Lautrec, Johnny Bishop as Baby Doll, Zoe Birkett as Arabia, Timmika Ramsay as La Chocolat and Clive Carter as Harold Zidler.

The production is directed by Alex Timbers with choreography by Sonya Tayeh and music supervision, orchestrations and arrangements by Justin Levine.
