Matilda the Musical has announced an updated cast for London’s West End.
Winner of five Best Musical awards and with 5 star reviews, Matilda has been playing at the Cambridge Theatre since 2011.
Inspired by the twisted genius of Roald Dahl, with original songs from comedian Tim Minchin, Matilda is the captivating musical masterpiece from the RSC that revels in the anarchy of childhood, the power of imagination and the inspiring story of a girl who dares to change her destiny.
Casting for the year ahead has been revealed, with the show currently booking until December 2020.

Fresh from the recent UK and Ireland tour, Elliot Harper joins the cast as Miss Trunchbull alongside Sebastien Torkia as Mr Wormwood who joins Marianne Benedict continuing as Mrs Wormwood.
Gina Beck will continue in the role of Miss Honey until March 2020 where Carly Thoms will take over.
In the child cast, the show has announced its landmark 100th Matilda with Tilly-Raye Bayer, Olivia Juno Cleverley, Alex Munden and Zoe Simon sharing the lead role from September 2019.
The full cast includes Alex Louize Bird, Liberty Buckland, Georgia Carling, Roger Dipper, Kelly Ewins-Prouse, Ben Kerr, Matt Krzan, Connor Lewis, Tom Mather, Kane Oliver Parry, Landi Oshinowo, Ryan Pidgen, James Revell, Gemma Scholes, Christopher Tendai and Dawn Williams.
Young performers joining the London company in the three teams who play the roles of Bruce, Lavender, Amanda and the rest of the pupils at Crunchem Hall are as follows: Lily Armitage, Brian Bartle, Kaspar Cahill-Ritter, Kingsley Campbell-Golding, Sienna Clarke, Haydn Court, Tyler De Souza, Shana Diallo, Rosie Gell-Marquez, Beth Gilmour, Louie Gray, Edward Haddon, Gracie Hodson-Prior, Emily Rees, Elliott Rose, Samson Wakayu and Louis Wint.
Toby Brandon, Tom Brown, Lucia Coleman, Leonardo Dickens, Ta’niyah Fearon-Telfer, Sophie Richards, Bella Simmons and Mia White continue in the roles of Bruce, Lavender, Amanda and the pupils at Crunchem Hall.
Matilda the Musical plays at the Cambridge Theatre with performances Tuesday-Friday at 7PM, Wednesdays at 2PM, Saturday at 2:30PM and 7:30PM and Sundays at 3PM.
