Kate Fleetwood will star as Cruella de Vil in a new musical adaption of 101 Dalmatians.
The production will play at the Regent's Park Open Air Theatre this summer.
Based on Dodie Smith’s iconic story set in the heart of Regent’s Park, 101 Dalmatians will run between May 16 and June 21.
Kate Fleetwood (Macbeth, London Road) will take on the iconic role of Cruella de Vil, with further casting to be announced. Note, Fleetwood will not appear at the matinee performances on 3, 10 or 17 June.
The new adaption features a book by Zinnie Harris and music and lyrics by Douglas Hodge. The production is directed by Timothy Sheader, with puppetry designed and directed by Toby Olié.
Further creatives include set and costume design from Katrina Lindsay, choreography from Liam Steel, music supervision and orchestrations from Sarah Travis, lighting from Howard Hudson and musical direction from Tarek Merchant.
Performances will run Tuesday – Sunday at 7.45PM with Wednesday, Saturday & Sunday matinees at 2.15PM. There will be no matinees 16, 20, 23 or 27 May and no evening performances on 17 or 24 May.
Also announced for the 2020 Regent's Park Open Air Theatre season are Romeo and Juliet.
Shakespeare’s timeless story of forbidden love will be directed by Kimberley Sykes and run from June 27 through to 25 July.
