Watch The Prince of Egypt musical cast sing ‘When You Believe’

A music video of the West End company of The Prince of Egypt singing When You Believe has been released.

Adapted from the 1998 animated movie, The Prince of Egypt musical will run at the Dominion Theatre from February. Tickets are now on sale.

The stage adaption features new music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz alongside the original songs he penned for the movie, including Oscar-winning track When You Believe.

A first look of When You Believe is available to watch below, performed by Christine Allado, Alexia Khadime, Luke Brady and the West End company.

Originally produced by DreamWorks animation, The Prince of Egypt is an adaptation of the Book of Exodus and tells the journey of Moses as from being a prince of Egypt to his ultimate destiny to lead the children of Israel out of Egypt.

A teaser for the musical adaption reads:

Journey through the wonders of Ancient Egypt as two young men, raised together as brothers in a kingdom of privilege, find themselves suddenly divided by a secret past. One must rule as Pharaoh, the other must rise up and free his true people; both face a destiny that will change history forever.
