The cast for the 2019 production of Soho Cinders at the Charing Cross Theatre has been announced.
Soho Cinders is a musical that takes the classic tale of Cinderella and transfers it to the modern day in London’s Soho.
First premiering in 2012, the musical features a book, music and lyrics from Sandy Wilson.
Soho Cinders will play at the Charing Cross Theatre from 24th October through to 21st December 2019. Tickets are on sale now.
Soho Cinders cast
The cast of Soho Cinders will be led by Luke Bayer (Everybody’s Talking About Jamie) and Millie O’Connell (Six).
Completing the cast are Lewis Asquith, Christopher Coleman, Ewan Gillies, Tori Hargreaves, Natalie Harman and Michaela Stern, with an ensemble cast featuring Jade Bailey, Thomas Ball, Luke Byrne, Ben Darcy, Laura Fulgenzi, Danny Lane, Savannah Reed and Melissa Rose.
The creative team is made up of Director Will Keith, Choreographer Adam Haigh, Musical Director Sarah Morrison, Associate Musical Director Joe Louis Robinson, Set Designer Justin Williams and Casting Director Harry Blumenau.
A synopsis of the show reads: “When impoverished student Robbie becomes romantically involved with engaged London Mayoral candidate James Prince, his lap-dancing step-sisters become the least of his problems!
“James and Robbie’s worlds collide, forcing them to fight for their own fairy-tale ending. Celebrating London’s most colourful district and mixing politics, sex-scandals and true love, Soho Cinders is a deliciously naughty musical update of the Cinderella story with an infectious score that you’ll be humming long past the stroke of midnight!”
