Nicholas McLean will join the Wicked cast in London's West End in the role of Boq.
One of the world's biggest musicals, Wicked has been running at the Apollo Victoria Theatre since 2006 and just celebrated its 13th birthday.
McLean, who has previously appeared in Avenue Q and The Book of Mormon, will join the company from Monday 20 January 2020.
Idriss Kargbo, who is currently in the role, will play his final performance on 9 November 2019 before George Ure takes over for two months between Monday 11 November 2019 and Saturday 18 January 2020.
They’re joined by Alistair Brammer as Fiyero, Kim Ismay as Madame Morrible, Andy Hockley as The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, Simeon Truby as Doctor Dillamond, and Carina Gillespie playing Nessarose (Natasha Ferguson will be maternity cover for Nessarose.)
