The date and host for the 2020 Olivier Awards has been officially announced.
The Olivier Awards with Mastercard will take place on Sunday April 5, 2020, once again hosted live at the Royal Albert Hall.
Jason Manford will return to host for a third time.
He said: “It’s great to be back hosting the Olivier Awards. Having trod the boards myself many times, I’ve experienced first-hand the huge wealth of creativity and talent across the UK theatre industry.
“I look forward to celebrating all the incredible work produced over the last year. It will definitely be a night to remember – see you at the Royal Albert Hall!”
The nominations for the 2020 ceremony will be revealed on March 3.
The biggest night in British theatre, the Olivier Awards have been running since 1976.
As always, the 2020 ceremony will feature incredible performances from the West End’s biggest musicals and plays, as the best of both onstage and offstage talent is recognised with a series of awards.
The 2019 ceremony was hosted by Jason Manford with new musical Come from Away, the gender-swapped revival of Company and new play The Inheritance all winning four awards.
Typically, the awards air on ITV but 2020 broadcast details have yet to be confirmed.
