The pair will appear in the roles of Jenna and Dr Pomatter from January 27th.

They will takeover Lucie Jones and David Hunter in the roles in London through to March 7. Jones and Hunter will return to the roles of Jenna and Dr Pomatter on 9 March.

It was announced earlier this year that Waitress is to close in London's West End on July 4 2020 before heading out on a first UK tour.

Based on the film of the same name, Waitress tells the story of Jenna a waitress and expert pie-maker who dreams of a way out of her small town and rocky marriage.

Alongside Bareilles' score, the musical features a book by Jessie Nelson and direction by Diane Paulus.
