Evelyn Hoskins and Marisha Wallace will join the cast of Waitress in London’s West End.
Waitress has announced a number of new casting changes for the musical from January.
Evelyn Hoskins will join from 27 January in the role of Dawn, taking over from Hannah Tointon.
Meanwhile, Marisha Wallace will return to the company in the role of Becky from 6 January.
The pair will also be joined by Monique Ashe-Palmer who takes up a role in the ensemble from Monique Ashe-Palmer starting 9 January.
The new cast will be led by Sara Bareilles, who composed the musical’s score, and Gavin Creel who both previously starred in the show on Broadway.
The pair will appear in the roles of Jenna and Dr Pomatter from January 27th.
They will takeover Lucie Jones and David Hunter in the roles in London through to March 7. Jones and Hunter will return to the roles of Jenna and Dr Pomatter on 9 March.
It was announced earlier this year that Waitress is to close in London’s West End on July 4 2020 before heading out on a first UK tour.
The UK tour will visit Manchester, Birmingham, Milton Keynes, Glasgow, Plymouth, Dartford, Eastbourne, Liverpool, Woking, Stoke, Ipswich, Aberdeen, Bristol, Canterbury, Dublin, Nottingham, Cardiff, Truro, Llandudno, Leeds, Hull, Southend, Wolverhampton, Oxford, Edinburgh, Southampton, Northampton, Crawley, Sunderland, Wimbledon, Bromley and Sheffield.
Based on the film of the same name, Waitress tells the story of Jenna a waitress and expert pie-maker who dreams of a way out of her small town and rocky marriage.
Alongside Bareilles’ score, the musical features a book by Jessie Nelson and direction by Diane Paulus.
