What could be next? Here's our run down of the Broadway musicals that we want to see in the West End this year...

Beetlejuice

An adaption of the 1988 film of the same name, Beetlejuice premiered on Broadway in 2019 with its score by Australian singer-songwriter Eddie Perfect becoming a huge hit on social media. Having already made a name for itself in New York, it'd be great to have Beetlejuice haunting the West End soon!

Anastasia

Anastasia musical
Based on the animated movie from of the same name, Anastasia follows Anya, an amnesiac orphan stranded in St. Petersburg on a quest to rediscover her past which she believes lies in Paris. Christy Altomare played the title role on Broadway and alongside the show we'd love nothing more to have her in the West End.

Mean Girls

Next To Normal

It's quite surprising that this Tony and Pulitzer Prize award winning musical has yet to be produced in the UK. Written by Brian Yorkey and Tom Kitt, Next To Normal follows a mother living with bipolar disorder and the impact it has on her family.

Something Rotten!

An original musical comedy, Something Rotten! is set in the Renaissance period and tells the story of brothers Nick and Nigel Bottom as they attempt to write the world's first musical in n attempt to compete with famous playwright of the time, William Shakespeare. The original Broadway production was nominated for 10 Tonys - and we reckon it'd be just as successful in the West End. A UK premiere was recently confirmed for Birmingham Rep this autumn
