Sara Bareilles and Gavin Creel have extended their time leading the cast of Waitress in London’s West End.

The pair have been appearing in the roles of Jenna and Dr Pomatter since January 27.

Originally due to play through to March 7, they will now play for an extra two weeks until March 21.

Bareilles wrote the score for the musical and previously appeared in the lead role on Broadway alongside Creel last year.

They replaced Lucie Jones and David Hunter in the roles in London with Jones and Hunter set to return to the roles later in the year.

Alongside Bareilles’ score, the hit musical features a book by Jessie Nelson and direction by Diane Paulus.

Waitress in London recently announced its first performance for July 4 ahead of a UK tour opening in Dublin in November.

The standard performance week is Monday to Saturday at 7:30pm with Wednesday & Saturday matinees at 2:30pm.
