NaTasha Yvette Williams has joined the cast of Waitress in London’s West End.

Williams will reprise her role of Becky having previously played the part in the Broadway production.

Alongside Waitress, Williams’ other stage credits include Chicago, Porgy and Bess and The Color Purple.

She takes over from fellow American actress Marisha Wallace in the role from Monday, March 9.

Williams joins a cast that is currently led by Sara Bareilles and Gavin Creel.

The pair have been appearing in the roles of Jenna and Dr Pomatter since January 27 and recently extended their time with the show until March 21.

Bareilles wrote the score for the musical and previously appeared in the lead role on Broadway alongside Creel last year.

They replaced Lucie Jones and David Hunter in the roles in London with Jones and Hunter set to return to the roles later in the year.
