Victoria Hamilton-Barritt joins cast of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Cinderella

Victoria Hamilton-Barritt will star in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Cinderella in the role of the evil Stepmother.

Teased as a new, modern spin on the all time classic fairytale, Carrie Hope Fletcher was previously confirmed to play the title role.

Joining her will be Victoria Hamilton-Barritt (Death of a Salesman, In the Heights) in the role of the Stepmother.

Announcing the news on Mother’s Day, Hamilton-Barritt said on social media: “My dreams of being a Fairytale villain has been answered! I can’t wait to be part of getting @ALWCinderella into the #westend

“A beautiful story with bite, edge and writing and songs that will have you hooked! Bring on our summer of excitement and positive energy..x”

The new show will premiere at the Gillian Lynne Theatre in October.

Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Cinderella features music from Webber with lyrics by David Zippel and an original story and book by Emerald Fennel.
