Watch original London cast of Avenue Q reunite for lockdown performance

The original London West End cast of Avenue Q have reunited – in isolation.

Jon Robyns, Julie Atherton, Simon Lipkin, Ann Harada and Sion Lloyd have taken to YouTube to share a Life Before Lockdown Song.

The parody is a play on Avenue Q hit ‘If I Could Go Back To College’ and was shared by Julie Atherton – the voice of Kate Monster – on her social media channels.

She wrote: “Just a little @AvenueQ_London reunion for Lockdown ? Enjoy!”

You can watch the performance below…

Avenue Q, with music & lyrics by Robert Lopez and Jeff Marx and a book by Jeff Whitty, has become a cult hit since premiering in new York in 2003. The original Broadway run won a trio of Tony Awards, including Best Musical, while the West End production was nominated for an Olivier Award in 2007.

Featuring a mixture of puppet and human characters, Avenue Q tells the stories of a group of young adults living in a borough of New York City.
