Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Love Never Dies is streaming its 2012 production online.
After being made available to watch for free over the weekend (April 24), you can now rent or buy the digital download via Amazon Prime Video here.
The 2012 production of Love Never dies features Ben Lewis and Anna O’Byrne. Based on The Phantom of Manhattan by Frederick Forsyth, the musical is a sequel to Phantom of the Opera, revisiting the characters ten years later.
It’s was the latest of Lloyd Webber’s shows to be made temporarily available for free following The Phantom Of The Opera, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and Jesus Christ Superstar.
They formed part of the legendary musical theatre composer’s new online series The Shows Must Go On which is making a selection of his works available to watch online for free.
The show was available to watch for free for 48 hours.
During the free watch period, viewers were encouraged to show their support by making a donation to charities alongside each video, including Acting for Others, Broadway Cares and Actors Benevolent Fund.
Love Never Dies features music by Andrew Lloyd Webber, lyrics by Glenn Slater, book by Ben Elton and additional lyrics by Charles Hart.
The musical made its debut in the West End at the Adelphi Theatre in 2010 before productions in Australia, Asia and a US tour.
A first ever UK tour of Love Never Dies is scheduled to open at the Leicester Curve on Saturday September 26, 2020 before moving to the Manchester Opera House from Wednesday October 14.
Meanwhile, alongside full musicals, the new YouTube channel will share famous performances of Lloyd Webber’s songs and behind-the-scenes clips from his productions.
