12-year-old West End star Fayth Ifil gets golden buzzer on Britain’s Got Talent

A 12-year-old West End star got a golden buzzer on Britain’s Got Talent with an epic performance.

Fayth Ifil from Swindon has appeared in the London casts of School of Rock and Tina: The Musical, where she played Young Tina.

And taking inspiration from her work on the West End stage, Fayth performed to Tina Turner’s Proud Mary for her audition.

The performance left the judges and audience on their feet and saw Simon Cowell giving her a golden buzzer through to the next round.

After the performance, David Walliams said: “Very occasionally on this show someone comes on the stage and you think ‘They are born to be a superstar’.”

Simon Cowell added: “I love your personality. You talked about the support you’ve had from your mum and dad. Then you see the support you’ve had from 3,000 people and just to give you a little bit more support, I’m going to give you the golden buzzer.”

With the golden buzzer, Fayth goes straight through to the live shows later this year.

Britain’s Got Talent 2020 airs at 8PM on ITV and STV.
